Sixth pillar
Gauvansh
The gauvansh section is an educational introduction to Indian indigenous cattle breeds, A2 milk science, ghee, Panchagavya and related products. We do not sell cows — we share knowledge, care guidance and future licence-based products.
Indigenous breeds
Gir
Famous indigenous breed of Gujarat — recognised by NBAGR. Gir cows at the Arogyasudha farm are kept in an educational and traditional context.
Red-white hide, pendulous ears, good milk yield, heat tolerance. Calm temperament — suited to smallholder care.
Gir milk is reported to carry A2 beta-casein protein — research continues; this is nutritional context, not a disease-prevention claim.
Sahiwal
Ancient breed of Punjab-Haryana — among India's best-known dairy cattle.
Red-brown coat, medium ears, high milk quality, heat tolerance. Considered good disease resistance.
Sahiwal milk is considered well-balanced in fat and protein — A2 context appears in literature; no therapeutic guarantee.
Kapila
Golden-red indigenous breed of South India — special reference to gorasa in Ayurveda; Arogyasudha's Kapila gauvansh section draws from this tradition.
Small-medium size, golden-red colour, lower volume but dense milk, traditionally preferred for medicinal Panchagavya.
Kapila milk is described as gorasa in classical texts — nutritional and rasayana context; limited research on A1/A2 split.
Punganur
Smallest Indian cattle breed from Andhra Pradesh — among the world's smallest cow breeds.
Height ~70–90 cm, survives on little fodder, high fat percentage in milk, adapted to local ecology.
Punganur milk is considered dense — discussed in literature for child-nutrition context; modern A2 research is limited.
Indigenous cow ghee (go-ghrita)
In Ayurveda ghee is classed as yogavahi (medicine carrier), oleating and agni-deepening. Indigenous cow ghee shows butyrate, CLA and related compounds in research — nutritional-support context, not a cure claim. Dispensing after AYUSH/FSSAI licence.
Panchagavya
Panchagavya = traditional blend of cow milk, curd, ghee, urine and dung. Referenced in Charaka-Sushruta for purification and rasayana context; also used in organic farming. Therapeutic use only under a qualified vaidya — do not self-administer.
- Milk
- Curd
- Ghee
- Cow urine
- Cow dung
