Introduction — yoga therapy vs gym yoga

Yoga therapy is not gym 'yoga class' — it coordinates mind, breath and body in Patanjali's view and complements diet–conduct in Ayurveda. Arogyasudha Ayurveda Hospital operates in Jaipur (Rampura Dabri, Tantiyawas) and at a Chomu centre under Vaidya Aditya Ghosalya (Reg NR/AY/RJ/0007555). Under Vaidya Aditya Ghosalya (MA Yoga), yoga plans are not disease-specific until diagnosis and approval. Farm-shot asana photos (/yoga) are educational reference — not an invitation to start unsupervised practice.

What is yoga therapy

Yoga therapy selects asana, pranayama, meditation/dhyana direction and rest according to prakriti, vikriti and present symptoms. Goal is not guaranteed cure — considered supportive of flexibility, breath regulation, stress management and concentration. One asana for knee discomfort; another for high BP — or avoidance.

Classical background — Patanjali and Hatha

Patanjali Yoga Sutra I.2: yogash chitta-vritti-nirodhah. Ashtanga: yama–niyama–asana–pranayama–pratyahara–dharana–dhyana–samadhi. Hatha Yoga Pradipika covers asana–pranayama–mudra–bandha. Bhagavad Gita discusses karma and bhakti yoga. Historical context only — not a medical claim.

Asana catalogue — educational reference

The Arogyasudha site offers detailed educational reference for 16 asanas (/yoga) — Padmasana, Bhujangasana, Vrikshasana etc. Each with steps, benefits (considered supportive), cautions and classical notes. Technical clarity in the spirit of B.K.S. Iyengar's Light on Yoga — without false textual citations.

Pranayama — breath regulation

Pranayama is controlled breath practice — anuloma-viloma, nadi shodhana, bhramari etc. by vaidya selection. Not without permission in high BP, recent surgery or severe respiratory disease. Not magic 'oxygen boost' — direction toward mental calm and prana regulation.

Surya Namaskar — 12-step cycle

The 12-step Surya Namaskar cycle — full-body movement from Pranamasana through Bhujangasana and Adho Mukha Svanasana. Check with vaidya in heart disease, pregnancy, high BP or significant back issues. In Jaipur heat, hydration and timing matter.

Who may benefit

Back–neck–knee flexibility discomfort (selected asana), stress–sleep imbalance, supportive lifestyle part in diabetes/BP, light practice with digestion, children (special paediatric yoga — supervised). Do not rely on yoga alone in serious disease.

Personalised yoga plan — ₹499

Personal yoga therapy plan (/yoga) after vaidya approval — consult → if suitable → programme of asana, pranayama, rest by email/WhatsApp. Not sent automatically. Not a substitute for medicine change or cure.

Integration with Ayurveda and Panchakarma

During Panchakarma yoga often limited — light pranayama or rest. In later phase, selected asana for katishoola/sandhivata. Yoga in one plan with Ayurveda medicines (/treatments) and pathya (/diet-plan) — physician decision.

Process at Arogyasudha

1) Appointment (/consult). 2) Diagnosis — which asana, which not. 3) OPD or online guidance. 4) Follow-up — adjustment by response. Farm asana photos for authenticity — Dr. Ghosalya's own shoots.

Jaipur, Rampura — local access

Yoga consult at Rampura Dabri centre; selected services at Chomu. 'Yoga class Jaipur' searches show studios — for condition-wise therapeutic yoga, look for vaidya–yoga therapist background.

Limitations

Yoga does not cure all disease — we do not guarantee. Some asana avoided in injury, slip disc, pregnancy. Not yoga in emergency — medicine.

Physician background

Vaidya Aditya Ghosalya — BAMS, MA Yoga, Reg NR/AY/RJ/0007555. Yoga plans with Ayurvedic diagnosis — dual background.
