Nasya — Nasal Administration
Nasya is a Panchakarma therapy that may support purification of the head–neck region. Physicians may recommend it for management of dust exposure, seasonal changes, and head-related discomfort.
What is this treatment?
After gentle face–head massage and steam, medicated oil or powder drops are given through the nostrils; kavala and dhoomapana follow to clear residual kapha.
Classical Ayurvedic background
Ashtanga Hridaya Sutra Sthana and Charaka Siddhi Sthana describe Nasya for upward-moving dosha.
