Agnikarma is a para-surgical procedure from Sushruta Samhita using controlled heat from a special rod. Physicians may recommend it for management of joint pain, sprains, and some chronic pain patterns.
What is this treatment?
After assessing disease and marma sites, limited controlled cauterisation is applied at specific points. The site is then protected with ghee, honey, or similar applications.
